Applications for the Google Africa Developer Scholarships are currently being accepted. The Google Africa Certification Program is developed by Google to provide training to 100,000 Africans over software development. The program aimed at helping successful candidates become certified on Google’s Android, Web, and Cloud technologies.

The program is offering 30,000 additional scholarship opportunities and 1,000 grants for the Google Associate Android Developer, Mobile Web Specialist, and Associate Cloud Engineer certifications.

The scholarship program will be delivered by Google partners, Pluralsight and Andela, through an intensive learning curriculum designed to prepare motivated learners for entry-level and intermediate roles as software developers.

Programme Details

  • Host Institutions: The training will be delivered through, Pluralsight and Andela platform. The program is done online. This mean you can take the courses anywhere you have internet access.
  • Fields of Study: Software development (mobile technologies and Cloud platforms).
  • Number of Awards: 30,000 scholarships opportunities and 1,000 grants. After completing your desired skills development track, you will be eligible to receive a Google certification grant to take Google’s Associate Android Developer, Mobile Web Specialist and Associate Cloud Engineer certification exams.
  • Duration: Not specified.
  • Eligible countries: Open to residents of African countries.

Google Africa Certification Program Eligibility

In order to participate in the Google Africa Developer Scholarships program, you must be at least 18 years of age and be a resident of a country in Africa.

You may also be eligible for the:

  2. MISF Du Pré Grants For Multiple Sclerosis Researchers;
  3. Edinburgh Online Learning Masters Scholarships;
  4. Kanthari Leadership Training for Social Change;
  5. University Of Adelaide Australian Government Scholarship.
