Are you willing to study in Italy? This is a great opportunity to study at one of its best universities. Each year, the Polytechnic University of Milan offers various scholarships to the international student enrolling in its Master’s degree programs. The Polytechnic University of Milan Scholarships provide full tuition fees and some amount to cover other fees. Some scholarships will even provide accommodation and meals. The Politecnico di Milano scholarship aims to attract the best students to study on its campuses.

The beneficiaries will be selected among those who applied online (before the stated deadlines below) and have been admitted to one of the Laurea Magistrale courses offered at Politecnico di Milano, as described in the application process published in the “Application procedures” section of the English version of the Politecnico di Milano’s website, provided that the candidate has accepted the admission and has completed their dossier with all the required documents.

Funded in 1863, the Polytechnic University of Milan (Politecnico di Milano) is the largest technical university in Italy. The oldest university in Milan hosts about 42,000 students and offers undergraduate, graduate, and higher education courses in engineering, architecture, and design. The Polytechnic University of Milan has two main campuses in the city of Milan, Italy, where the majority of the research and teaching activities are located, as well as other satellite campuses in five other cities across the Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna regions. The university is ranked 137th overall in the world (QS World University Rankings).

Polytechnic University of Milan Scholarships Benefits

All students enrolled in a Master’s degree program for the academic year 2025-2026 will be considered for this scholarship to study in Europe. All Merit Based International Scholarships offer exemption from tuition fees payment for the entire academic year which they are assigned for. The Politecnico di Milano offers the following scholarships across its different campuses.

Note : All scholarships include a full tuition-fee waiver, some of them will also provide an additional gross allowance up to 10,000€/year.

Milano Campuses : Platinum and Gold Scholarships

All international students who apply to the first year of Master of Science programmes taught in English on Milano Leonardo or on Milano Bovisa Campuses for the academic year 2025-2026 are eligible to apply for these scholarships:

  • 10 Platinum Scholarships of 10 000 € gross per year
  • 18 Gold Scholarships of 8 000 € gross per year.

Cremona Campus : Gold Polo di Cremona Scholarship

All international students who apply to enroll in the first year of a Master of Science in Agricultural Engineering or Music and Acoustic Engineering taught in English in Polo di Cremona for the academic year 2025-2026 can apply for this scholarship. The amount of the Gold Polo di Cremona Scholarship is 5 000 € gross.

Piacenza Campus : Gold and Bronze Polo di Piacenza Scholarships

*** 16 Gold Polo di Piacenza Scholarships : All international students who apply to enroll in a first year of Master of Science in Sustainable Architecture and Landscape Design or Energy Engineering Renewables and Environmental Sustainability taught in English at Polo di Piacenza for the academic year 2025-2026 can apply for these scholarships.

*** 10 Bronze Polo di Piacenza Scholarships: All international students who apply to the first year of Master of Science programme in Mechanical Engineering – track Mechatronics for Manufacturing taught in English on Piacenza Campus for the academic year 2025-2026 are eligible to apply for these scholarships. The amount of the Gold Polo di Piacenza Scholarships is 2 500 € gross.

Polo di Cremona, Lecco, Mantova, Piacenza : 10 Silver scholarships

The Silver Scholarships consist of exemption from tuition fees payment for the entire academic year which they are assigned for. All international students who apply to enroll in the first year of the Master of Science taught in English in Polo di Cremona, Polo di Lecco, Polo di Mantova or Polo di Piacenza for the academic year 2025-2026 can apply for these scholarships.

Eligibility Criteria for the Polytechnic University of Milan Scholarships

The selection criteria for these Europe scholarships are based on the evaluation of your previous education and its match with the requirements for the Master’s degree program you have chosen. Obviously, GPA (grade point average) and academic achievements (including the portfolio when requested) are of utmost importance. Finally, a well-written motivation letter will contribute highly to a positive decision by the Scholarship Awarding Committee.

How to apply for the Polytechnic University of Milan Scholarships

These university scholarships will be awarded to those who applied for admission to a Master’s degree program by the specified deadlines below. Therefore, interested applicants should contact the university and apply to their chosen program before the deadline.

In order to confirm their acceptance, scholarship recipients will have to pay an administrative fee of around 170 €, following the instructions given through the message system of their Politecnico di Milano’s account (Online Services). Scholarship recipients will not be asked to pay any other tuition fees for registering at Politecnico di Milano.

For this round, beneficiaries will be selected from among those who applied online before . All unawarded students who applied during previous rounds will be considered in this round, unless they have previously cancelled their application.
