There are only 100 scholarships available, so there is a competitive application process. You will receive £3,000, awarded as a tuition fee reduction if you are assessed as ‘Home’ for tuition fees, or £5,000 if considered ‘Overseas’ for tuition fees.

University of Sussex Chancellor’s Masters Scholarships Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship to study in Europe, you must:
- have studied a Bachelors (Hons) at a UK or Irish university and hold, or expect to achieve, a First
- have accepted an offer of a place on an eligible full time or part time Masters course to start in September 2022
You are not eligible for this scholarship if you:
- Are applying for a Masters at a university that is not at the University of Sussex
- Are progressing into the final year of an integrated Masters at Sussex
- Are a 2022 Sussex graduate
- Studied at a UK University’s overseas campus or on an external program
- Already hold another University of Sussex scholarship (i.e. Sussex Graduate Scholarship)
You are not eligible for this scholarship if you are going to study any of the following:
- Diplomas and Certificates (including PGCE)
- Courses delivered at BSMS (Brighton and Sussex Medical School
- Online Masters degrees
- Development Studies MA
- Early Years Education (with Early Years Teacher status)
- Globalisation, Business and Development MA
- Governance, Development and Public Policy MA
- Power, Participation and Social Change MA
- Poverty and Development MA
- Masters degrees in Social work (if receiving an NHS bursary)
- Courses at the Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS)
- Schools direct teaching courses
- Masters funded by the research councils (e.g. ESRC 1+3 funding).
