Applications are currently being received for the University of Winnipeg President’s Scholarship for World Leaders. The program is funded by the university and given to international students who are entering any of the University’s divisions for the first time. This study in Canada scholarship is available for candidates that are applying for Undergraduate, Graduate, Collegiate, Applied and Continuing Education (PACE) or English Language Program (ELP).

International students willing to study in Canada under the University of Winnipeg Presidency Scholarship must be involved in activities that demonstrate leadership. Successful recipients of the scholarship not only receive financial support to pursue their studies but also gain access to a vibrant community of scholars, mentors, and resources that foster personal growth and professional development.

University of Winnipeg President’s Scholarship Benefits

The University of Winnipeg President’s Scholarships will provide successful applicants with a grant as shown below:

  • Undergraduate: 6 grants valued at $5,000 each;
  • Graduate: 3 grants valued at $5,000 each;
  • Collegiate: 3 grants valued at $3,500 each;
  • Professional, Applied Continuing Education (PACE): 3 grants valued at $3,500 each;
  • English Language Program (ELP): 3 grants valued at $3,500 each.

To apply for this university scholarship program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Have a minimum 80% admission average or equivalent
  • Be an international student
  • Entering first year of any program/school
  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities
  • Submit a complete admission application by the scholarship deadline date

Eligible applicants who would like to benefit from this North America scholarship program must follow the steps below:

  1. Complete an application for admission into The University of Winnipeg. The admissions department will assign you a UWinnipeg Student number when you start an application for admission. The program will only consider applications with valid student numbers.
  2. Complete the web application form.
    • incomplete application packages will not be considered. Each applicant may only submit one application.
    • Applicants must include the following documents with their applications. Documents in other languages must be translated in English.
      1. Personal Statement
      2. Resumé / C.V.
      3. Two Reference Letters.
