Yunnan Normal University CSC Scholarship Eligibility

How to Apply for the Yunnan Normal University CSC Scholarship

Eligible candidates who would like to apply for this scholarship program to study in Asia must follow the instructions provided below.

Step 1: YNNU Online Application

Applicants must log into the university’s online application system before January 15, 2024 to register for your personal account, fill in the online application information, upload required application materials. Applicants who pass the initial review and interview will receive the pre-admission notice.

Step 2: CSC Online Application

Applicants who pass the initial review and interview and receive the pre-admission notice must log into CSC Online Application System (Chinese Government Scholarship Information System) to create an account, fill in the online application information, upload required application materials (including the pre-admission notice). Please choose the study abroad program categories: Type B. The Yunnan Normal University Agency Number is 10681.

Application Documents

1. Application Form of Chinese Government Scholarship (In Chines or English).
2. A photocopy of the first page of the passport (Ordinary passport expires later than September 2024). If the validity of the applicant’s current passport does not meet the requirement, please apply for a new passport before submitting the application. If applicants are in China, please also submit the latest visa page or Residence Permit page.
3. Notarized Highest diploma and Degree (Bachelor’s and above). If applicants are graduating, they must provide a pre-graduation certificate. After being admitted, you must submit a scanned copy of your highest diploma certificate.
4. Academic Transcripts (from the undergraduate program onwards). The scanned copies of academic records from the first to last semester during the undergraduate, and graduate (if any) shall be provided.
5. Valid photocopies of HSK reports.
6. Pre-admission documents. Applicants who pass the admission qualification examination will receive the pre-admission notice issued by Yunnan Normal University and upload the pre-admission notice to the CSC online system (step 2).
7. A study plan (no less than 1000 words). The proposal of a doctoral student shall be signed by their Chinese supervisor. A study plan includes but is not limited to personal study or work experience, academic research outcome, plan of master or doctoral duration, and personal goals after graduation.
8. Two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English written by professors or associate professors. These letters shall describe the applicant’s objectives of learning in China, comprehensive abilities, and evaluation of future growth, as well as the cooperation between the supervisors or the exchange between universities both in China and abroad.
9. A photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Please bring the original copies when you come to China.
10. Certificate of Non-Criminal record report. The applicants shall submit a valid certificate of Non-Criminal Record issued by the local public security authority, usually issued within 6 months before the submission date of the application. If the applicants cannot provide these documents, the applicants could sign a non-criminal record commitment.
11. Other Awards certificate or research result.
