The program has been created by the university to strengthen its ability to attract talented international students to undergraduate and graduate degree programs offered by the University of Padua. through these programs, the university attracts a large number of international students, not only to study in Italy but also to experience the country’s rich cultural heritage.

The university offers various types of scholarships that provide different items, such as tuition fee waivers, study grants, accommodation support, and research assistantships, etc. Namely, the university offers the following Merit-based scholarships: Padua International Excellence Scholarship, Fee-waivers, Departmental scholarships, and the Galilean School of Higher Education Scholarships. These scholarships are awarded to international students who meet their specific requirements application requirements. Scholarships are aimed at supporting talented and deserving students from all over the world, making it possible for them to pursue their academic dreams at one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Italy.

University of Padua Scholarships Benefits

Selected candidates for this scholarship to study in Italy will receive the following benefits depending on the type of scholarship the won:

A – Padua International Excellence Scholarship

The University of Padua offers 59 scholarships to highly talented prospective students wishing to pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree completely held in English in Padua. The scholarship program is highly selective. Selected students may be asked to act as Ambassadors and represent the University at a number of events.

Amount of scholarship: fee-waiver + €8,000 scholarship (gross amount) per each academic year and a tuition fee-waiver per academic year. The only amount to be paid by scholarship recipients each academic year is an
administrative fee, consisting of the regional tax for the right to education and the revenue stamp. Such an amount is not refundable. Reimbursement of travel, insurance or other expenses is not included in the scholarship and will not be covered by the University of Padua. The Padua International Excellence Scholarship has a maximum duration of:

• two (2) consecutive academic years for Master’s degree programmes;
• three (3) consecutive academic years for Bachelor’s and Single-cycle degree programmes.

B – Departmental scholarships (57)

C – Fee-waivers

The University of Padua additionally offers 100 full tuition fee waivers to students enrolling in one of its degree programs held completely in English.

The Galilean School of Higher Education is the University of Padua’s school of excellence. University of Padua Scholarships Eligibility

To apply for this university scholarship program, candidates must meet the following requirements:

1. do not possess Italian citizenship (except for dual citizenship including Italian);
2. hold a non-Italian foreign secondary school diploma (for Bachelor’s or Single-cycle degrees applicants) or a non-Italian bachelor’s degree (for Master’s degrees applicants) allowing admission to the Italian University system;
3. do not reside in Italy;
4. apply to one or more-degree programs completely taught in English at the University of Padua. Please remember that you can apply for up to 3 different programs.

Furthermore, applicants must meet the following specific criteria:

Padua International Excellence Scholarship: This scholarship is open to highly talented prospective international students from all over the world wishing to enroll in one of the University of Padua Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees completely held in English.

Fee-waivers: The scholarship is open for talented prospective international students from all over the world, having obtained their previous degree outside Italy, and wishing to enroll in one of the degree programmes held in English at the University of Padua.
