 OPEN TO : All

The 2024-2025 applications for the Stanford University Knight-Hennessy scholarship program will be received from June, 1 2024. Knight-Hennessy Scholars (KHS) receive funding for up to three years for graduate degrees at Stanford. The program provides funding for the degree program listed in the initial KHS admission letter. Scholars who wish to enroll in an additional graduate program may apply to KHS to receive additional funding for up to three years.

If a scholar is admitted to a degree program that exceeds three years such as an MD, PhD, or Stanford dual- or joint-degree program — then funding is based on the graduate degree program’s standard funding commitment. This varies by department and school. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with the graduate program with specific questions about their funding commitment.

Founded in 1885 in memory of Leland Stanford Jr., Stanford University is a private research university located in California. Classified among the largest universities in the United States, the university enrolls more than 7,645 undergraduate students, and 9,292 graduate students (As of Autumn Quarter, 2021) and is ranked among the top universities in the world. With more than $1.5 billion in research funds and 7,900+ externally sponsored projects, the university has a community of 20 Nobel laureates.
