Applications are being received for the Bézout Labex Masters Scholarships from the University Paris-Est in France. For the 2021-2022 academic year, thanks to the Bézout Labex and the SFRI Program GP-DS, the university is able to fund up to 10 scholarships. These scholarships are offered to outstanding Master’s degree students who wish to study at the University Paris-Est in an integrated program that combine mathematics and computer science: the “Bézout excellence program”.
Courses are taught in either in English or in French. Each admitted student is enrolled in one track of mathematics or computer science master’s programs. However, each student has to succeed in one or two courses from the other master program, to ensure interdisciplinary. At the end of the program, the best students will be invited to start a PhD in the Bézout Labex with various support.
The first two weeks are devoted to an intensive French classes, for the non-French-speaking students. Then, most of the year is devoted to courses at the research level. Finally, an initiation to research (3 to 4 months in a research laboratory) is proposed, which constitutes an introduction to doctoral work before starting a thesis. Under normal circumstances, each Bézout scholar will do his/her initiation to research in one of the laboratories of the Bézout Labex. Bézout Labex Masters Scholarships Benefits
Each selected candidates for this scholarship to study in Europe, will receive around €1300/month during 11 months. This scholarship cannot be combined with any other financial aid. The program will also pay the university registration fees for all the Bézout master’s students enrolled in this scholarship program, who will only have to pay a mandatory €90 (approx.) yearly fee for CVEC (contribution for life campus).
