The Curatorial Internship in Canada offers aspiring curators a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to receive hands-on experience in the field of contemporary art. The program is intended for recent graduates and early-career professionals interested in pursuing a career in curatorial work. Interns in this program get the chance to work with seasoned curators and gallery employees and get an insight into the inner work of modern art institutions.

The curatorial internship program is designed to share the CCA’s expertise with students and young professionals in architecture, the design disciplines, the arts, the humanities, and cultural studies who are interested in exploring editorial and curatorial work in architecture. Selected candidates will have the opportunity to become acquainted with the CCA’s curatorial approach, in particular, its collection, exhibitions, editorial projects, and research programs through a nine-month internship in Montréal beginning in October 2024

The program provides a range of internships, each focusing on a different aspect of curatorial work. Interns may assist with research projects, exhibitions, instructional activities, and events. Selected applicants may also have the opportunity to work with artists and contribute to creating new shows.
