- Have recently obtained a university degree (as defined above) and be available to commence the internship within one year of graduation.
- Be participating in a professional postgraduate trainee program that includes an internship placement as a mandatory component.

- Possess strong oral and written command of at least one of the UN’s working languages (English or French), along with fluency in the primary language of the duty station (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, or Spanish).

Note: Immediate family members (father, mother, son, daughter, brother, or sister) of current UNFPA staff members are not eligible to apply for an internship.
