The Turkish Summer School Scholarship Program is now open for application. The Yunus Emre Institute Summer School Programme is fully funded and is available for foreign nationals willing to attend a summer school in Turkey.

The 2020 Turkish Summer School Scholarship is offering following programmes: TABIP Science Summer School, Archaeology Summer School, Turkish Cinema Summer School, Turkish Gastronomy Summer School, Turkish Literature Summer School.

Yunus Emre Institute organizes art and culture events and supports scientific studies all around the globe through Yunus Emre Turkish Culture Centres and offices at various universities worldwide.

Program Details

  • Host Institution: Partner Universities in Turkey.
  • Field of Study: Science, Archaeology, Turkish Cinema, Turkish Gastronomy, Turkish Literature.
  • Number of awards: 125 (25/programme).
  • Duration: July 13rd – 24th, 2020.
  • Eligible countries: Open to all nationalities.

Turkish Summer School Scholarship Program Benefits

The Yunus Emre Institute Summer School Scholarship covers the following:

  1. International and local transportation;
  2. Accommodation;
  3. Three meals a day;
  4. Course materials;
  5. Museum / archaeological site entrance fees;
  6. Guidance.

Scholarship does not cover the following:

  • Personal travel insurance;
  • Visa costs;
  • Personal expenditures.

Turkish Summer School Scholarship Program Eligibility

In order to apply for the Yunus Emre Institute Summer School programme, applicants must meet following criteria.

  1. Good command of English (at least B2);
  2. Should be between 18-35 years of age;
  3. Should have no health problems that could impede traveling;
  4. Should be open to intercultural dialogue.

In addition,

TABIP Science Summer School Applicants Should:

  • have a genuine interest in advanced farming technologies;
  • be studying/have studied a discipline under agricultural sciences.

Archaeology Summer School Applicants Should:

  • have a genuine interest in cultural heritage and archaeology;
  • be studying/have studied a social science such as archaeology, culture studies, history, cultural anthropology, folklore, art history, etc.;
  • preferably a freshman or sophomore at the university level.

Turkish Cinema Summer School Applicants Should:

  • have a genuine interest in foreign cultures;
  • be studying/have studied cinema or be working in the cinema industry;
  • preferably be a producer, director or scriptwriter of short or feature films or should have took part in a film project.

Turkish Gastronomy Summer School Applicants Should:

  • be studying/ trained in culinary arts and gastronomy or employed in gastronomy sectors;
  • preferably be a student, young chef or culinary researcher, experienced in world cuisines and keen on working on Turkish cuisine;
  • have a genuine interest in foreign cultures;
  • have no health problem that could impede traveling, especially allergies to foodstuff or spices.

Turkish Literature Summer School Applicants Should:

  • have a good command of Turkish (at least B2). No command of English language requirement;
  • have a genuine interest in Turkish literature;
  • be a student or graduate of Turkish, Turkology, Ottoman/Turkish studies, South Europe studies, etc;
  • preferably be working in a field to do with Turkish or Turkish literature such as doing translation into or from Turkish.

You may also be eligible for the:

  1. CREATE DAV Summer School In Canada.
  2. UNAOC Fellowship For EUNA And MENA Countries.
  3. UNESCO/ISEDC Russian Federation Co-Sponsored Fellowships;
  4. Estonian Government Scholarship For Short Courses;
  5. International Excellence Scholarship At London Brunel University.
