Application for the Moroccan-American Commission Fulbright Study Grants 2022-2023 is now open. Each year the Moroccan-American Commission awards Master’s scholarships for Moroccan post-licence students to pursue a master’s degree in the United States of America.

The Moroccan-American Commission scholarship are funded by the governments of Morocco and the United States of America. The Moroccan-American Commission for Educational and Cultural Exchange (MACECE) aim to promote academic and cultural exchanges between American and Moroccan citizens.

  • Eligible Programs: Available Master’s degree programs in American universities at the exception to Medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy programs.

  • Duration: Two years.
  • Eligible countries: Only Moroccan citizens can apply for this scholarship.

Moroccan-American Commission Fulbright Study Grants Benefits

The Moroccan-American Commission scholarship is fully funded by the governments of Morocco and the United States. The amount of the scholarship varies depending on university tuition, airfare and other costs.

Moroccan-American Commission Fulbright Study Grants Eligibility

To qualify for the Moroccan-American Commission scholarship, Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Preference is given to those who have not previously studied or lived in the U.S. for an extended period. Preference is also shown to candidates who have not lived outside Morocco for extended periods of time or hold dual nationality.
  2. Those proposing to pursue a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) must have completed at least one year of work experience by May 31, 2021. Unpaid internships do not qualify as work experience.
  3. Applicants must provide the Commission with scores on two tests:
    • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
    • GRE (Graduate Record Examinations General Test) for most fields of study, or the
    • GMAT (Graduate Management Achievement Test) for Business Administration.
  4. Candidates must be available for an interview at some point during July 2021.
  5. Like all Fulbright programs, the Study Grantee must pledge to return to Morocco upon completion of the program.

You are not eligible if one of the conditions below applies to you:

  1. you are currently studying in the United States of America;
  2. you have worked overseas for more than two years;
  3. you are completing a dual Master’s degree in the context of an institutional agreement;
  4. medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy are not eligible disciplines.

Notes: Required English tests are administered in Morocco on specific dates by AMIDEAST, 35 rue d’Oukaimeden, Agdal, Rabat, Tel: 0537-675-082. You must register in advance at AMIDEAST.

Most American universities require a minimum TOEFL score of 550 for the paper-based test and 213 for the computer-based test. For the MBA, the minimum GMAT score is 550. Please be aware that MBA is the most competitive area of Fulbright grants.

You may also be eligible for the:

  1. Full and Partial USTB Chancellor Scholarships;
  2. Government Of Flanders Master Mind Scholarships;
  3. International Academic Scholarship in Switzerland;
  4. Adelaide Scholarships International (ASI).
