Applications are now open for the 2025-2026 Holland Scholarship for Non-EEA International Students. The scholarship program is meant for international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who want to do their Bachelor’s or Master’s in the Netherlands.
This scholarship is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science as well as several Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences. The Holland Scholarship is awarded to international students wishing to study in the Netherlands.

Holland Scholarship for International Students Benefits
The Holland Scholarship for Non-EEA International Students amounts to €5,000 and the grant is awarded for one year and can only be received once. However, this amount can be higher at some host institutions. For example, this Europe scholarship amounts to €5,000, €10,000 or €15,000 at Utrecht University.

Holland Scholarship for International Students Eligibility
To apply for the Holland Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- hold citizenship of a non-EEA country;
- applying for a full-time Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program at one of the participating Dutch higher education institutions;
- meet the specific requirements of the institution of your choice. You can find these on the website of the institution;
- do not have a degree from an educational institution in the Netherlands.
