Labex MILYON Scholarships to Study in France, 2024-2025

Applications are being received for the Labex MILYON Scholarships for foreign students to study in France. This scholarship program is merit-based and is mainly awarded every year to Master’s and Bachelor’s degree international students wishing to join one of the courses offered by the institutions of the University of Lyon that the labex supports.

This scholarship program to study in Europe aims to recruit outstanding international students to study at Labex MILYON supported institutions. The scholarship program is primarily for foreign students. However, they can also be awarded to the best French students.

MILYON is a LabEx (Laboratoire d’Excellence) is a centre of Excellence that carry out research in the fields of mathematics and computer science at the University of Lyon, in France. MILYON is one of the projects of Excellence that was awarded a LabEx grant (Laboratoire d’Excellence) by the French National Agency for Research (ANR), as part of the program “Investments for the Future” (Investissements d’Avenir).

Labex MILYON Scholarships Benefits

The Excellence Laboratory Milyon offers a Master’s scholarship of a net amount of 1 000 euros/month, for 10 months, from September 2024 to June 2025. The scholarships are renewable on an annual basis subject to evaluation by the labex.

  Program in English (this Master is geared towards research in Computer Science, and has nothing to do with electronics and management)
• Maths in Action: from concept to l’innovation 2nd year
  (Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1/École Centrale de Lyon/ENS de Lyon)
  Program in English
• General Mathematics 1st year
  (Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 and Université Jean Monnet Saint-Étienne)
  Program in French
• Applied mathematics and statistics Master program 1st year
  (Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1)
  Program in French (Applications for this master training program may be considered if they are part of a study plan clearly oriented toward research and as a first year for the M2 “Math en Action”. The applications should present convincing elements in this respect).

Labex MILYON Scholarships Eligibility

To be considered for this scholarship to study in Europe, candidates must apply for one of the MILYON Scholarship Master Course. Please see the list above for eligible courses that candidates can use this scholarship for. Furthermore, candidates must have a good level of French to apply for french programs. For candidates using the CEF procedure, a B2 level in French is required.
