UMY University Scholarship for International Students, 2024-2025

UMY University Scholarship is a fully-funded program that is designed to recruit highly qualified international students to study at the Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY). The university aims to be a leading university by developing knowledge and technology based on Islamic values to contribute to society. Scholarships are open for all academic fields available at the university.

This university scholarship program is opened for international students from all corners of the world who wish to study at the UMY University in Indonesia. The scholarship is offered to foreign students to undertake studies at undergraduate, Masters and Ph.D. degree levels.

Founded in 1981, the Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta (UMY) is a private university in Yogyakarta under the affiliation of Muhammadiyah. UMY was recognized as the 4th best university and become the top private university in Indonesia by the World University Rankings and Reviews in 2013 and was accredited internationally by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Stars in 2015.

UMY University Scholarship Benefits

Selected candidates will have free tuition and a Monthly Allowance as follow for one year:

• Undergraduate IDR 1,850,000
• Master IDR 2,350,000
• Doctoral IDR 2,600,000.

For the second year, the tuition scholarship benefits will be considered based on grade point average (GPA) as follow:

Undergraduate Programs

• GPA ≥ 3.00 Free tuition fee and living cost
• 2.75 ≤ GPA < 3.00 Discount 75% of tuition fee
• < 2.75 Scholarship Revoked.

Master and Doctoral Program

• GPA Scholarship
• GPA ≥ 3.50 Free tuition fee and living cost
• 3.25 ≤ GPA < 3.50 Discount 75% of tuition fee
• 3.00 ≤ GPA < 3.25 Discount 50% of tuition fee
• GPA < 2.75 Scholarship Revoked.

UMY University Scholarship Eligibility

All applicants for this Asia scholarship program must satisfy following criteria:

• Applicants for the Undergraduate level must have a high school certificate.
• Applicants for a Master’s degree must have an Undergraduate degree.
• Applicants for a PhD degree must have a master degree.
• candidate must satisfy English language requirements.
