Applications are being received for the DSM-Firmenich Progress Foundation Scholarship 2026 to attend the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa. At dsm-firmenich, the belief that capability comes with responsibility drives a strong commitment to societal impact and sustainable solutions that bring progress to life for communities around the world.
To extend this impact, the independent dsm-firmenich Progress Foundation was established to drive sustainable change, empower communities, and support the next generation of changemakers. Through this scholarship, five impactful young leaders will be supported to participate in the One Young World Summit 2026.
The dsm-firmenich Progress Foundation Scholarship specifically supports young entrepreneurs who are making a local or global impact in key focus areas including fighting malnutrition, strengthening community resilience, and protecting and restoring ecosystems.

DSM-Firmenich Progress Foundation Scholarship Benefits
Selected scholars will receive a fully funded opportunity that includes:
- Access to the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa
- Hotel accommodation in Cape Town (check-in 31 October and check-out 8 November)
- Return economy travel to and from Cape Town
- Catering including breakfast at the hotel and lunch and dinner during the core Summit days
- Ground transport between the Summit accommodation and the Summit venue
- Pre- and post-programme in Cape Town and the opportunity to join the dsm-firmenich delegation during the Summit
Note: Applicants must demonstrate active impact in one of the scholarship’s three focus areas: Fighting Malnutrition; Strengthening community resilience; or Protecting and restoring ecosystems.
DSM-Firmenich Progress Foundation Scholarship Eligibility
To apply for this program, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be aged 18 – 30 at the time of the One Young World Summit 2026
- Reside in Africa, Asia-Pacific, or Latin America
- Have 3 – 5 years’ experience in business, preferably running your own enterprise
- Be making a positive impact in at least one of the following focus areas:
- Fighting Malnutrition (e.g. addressing micronutrient deficiencies and improving food quality for vulnerable populations)
- Strengthening community resilience and addressing social inequality
- Protecting and restoring ecosystems, including climate action, biodiversity protection, and safeguarding water systems
