Applications are now open for the AstraZeneca Young Health Impact Fellowship 2026, which includes a fully funded opportunity to attend the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa. It’s aimed at young people already doing the work, not just talking about it. The focus is blunt and specific: improve youth health, close equity gaps, and deal with the health fallout of climate change before it gets worse.
The AstraZeneca Young Health Impact Fellowship targets young leaders who are building or running initiatives through registered non-profits but not side projects. Real organizations, with some track record, are trying to move the needle on issues like non-communicable diseases, fragile health systems, or the messy overlap between environment and public health.
Delivered by One Young World in partnership with AstraZeneca, the program offers more than a conference ticket. There’s funding, training, and a network that, if used properly, can actually extend the life of a project beyond the usual cycle of enthusiasm and burnout.
