Université Paris-Saclay Scholarship for Foreign Students, 2026/27

The Université Paris-Saclay Scholarship aims to promote access for international students to its master’s programs (Diplôme National), delivered by its member institutions, and to facilitate the arrival of outstanding international students, especially those wishing to develop an academic project up to the doctoral level.

Based on academic excellence, these scholarships are aimed at students admitted to a master’s program accredited by Université Paris-Saclay (excluding apprenticeship programs) and delivered by one of the following institutions: AgroParisTech, CentraleSupélec, ENS Paris-Saclay, INSTN-CEA, Institut d’Optique Graduate School (IOGS), Université Évry Paris-Saclay, Université Paris-Saclay, and UVSQ.

These scholarships are awarded for 1 or 2 academic years to students enrolled in a Master’s program at Université Paris-Saclay, depending on their admission level (M1 or M2). Students admitted to M1 may receive funding for two academic years, subject to successful completion of the required credits and admission to M2. No deferral of the scholarship is possible.

• Fields of Study: All academic fields are eligible. All master’s programs accredited by Université Paris-Saclay are eligible, except apprenticeship programs.

• Duration: 1 year (M2) or 2 years (M1 + M2, subject to validation of credits).
• Eligible countries: Open to students of foreign nationality meeting the eligibility criteria.

Université Paris-Saclay Scholarship Benefits

Selected candidates for this university scholarship will receive the following benefits:

• An amount of 10,000€ per year. The scholarship is paid in 10 monthly installments from September to June by bank transfer to an account in euros opened in the laureate’s name. The amount may be reduced for periods spent abroad (mandatory international mobility, offshore programs) or for internships conducted outside laboratories affiliated with Université Paris-Saclay.
• A maximum annual allowance of 900€ for travel and visa expenses, depending on the candidate’s country of origin.
• Laureates will receive their scholarship and travel allowance only after arrival in France and once they have completed their administrative enrollment in the program to which they were admitted. No advance payment is possible.
• Administrative support, including assistance with visa and residence permit procedures, as well as guidance in finding accommodation (accommodation is not guaranteed).
• Tuition fees and training costs are not covered by the scholarship.

Université Paris-Saclay Scholarship Eligibility

To apply for the Paris-Saclay Scholarship, candidates must:

• Be admitted to a Université Paris-Saclay Master’s program (excluding apprenticeship programs) delivered by AgroParisTech, CentraleSupélec, ENS Paris-Saclay, INSTN-CEA, IOGS, Université Évry Paris-Saclay, Université Paris-Saclay, or UVSQ.
• Be of foreign nationality and undertaking their first enrollment in higher education in France (never previously studied in French higher education, except exchange programs, Erasmus Mundus joint master’s without a French degree, internships, or language training).
• Be under 30 years old during the year of application.
• Not receive other funding exceeding 600€ per month.

Are ineligible:

• Students who have been or are currently enrolled in a French higher education institution during their academic career, except international students enrolled in French institutions abroad.
• Students receiving France Excellence Eiffel, France Excellence Europa, or Erasmus Mundus scholarships (non-cumulative).
• Students receiving other funding exceeding 600€ per month.

In partnership with UNHCR (the UN Refugee Agency) and supported by the MEnS association (Migrants in Higher Education), Université Paris-Saclay implements a bonus system for refugee students or students with subsidiary protection status within the framework of the international Master’s scholarship selection process. How to Apply for the Université Paris-Saclay Scholarship

To be considered for this scholarship to study in Europe, students must first apply and be admitted to a master’s program at Université Paris-Saclay before the scholarship deadline. Admission to a master’s program does not automatically entitle students to a scholarship.

1. After being selected by the master’s program, students will receive an email with a link to the online scholarship application form.
2. Applicants may be required to provide the names and contact details of two referees (program director, professor, internship supervisor, etc.). Referees will receive an email inviting them to complete and submit their recommendation before the deadline specified in the invitation email.
3. Complete applications are evaluated by a jury composed of experts from the Graduate Schools of Université Paris-Saclay, based on academic level, personal project, and (for M2 candidates) motivation for pursuing a PhD at Université Paris-Saclay.

For the 2026 selection cycle, the deadline for program directors to select candidates is March 25, 2026 (11:59 PM, Paris time). The deadline for invited candidates to submit their scholarship application and for referees to submit recommendations is March 31, 2026 (11:59 PM, Paris time). Results will be announced in mid-May 2026.
