Dalian University of Technology CSC Scholarship Eligibility

In order to apply for the Chinese Government Scholarship at Dalian University of Technology, applicants must meet the following criteria.

1. be a Non-Chinese citizen and in good health.
2. Education background and age limit:
   • Doctoral degree study applicants must be under the age of 40 and have a Master’s degree.
   • Master’s degree studies applicants must be under the age of 35 and have a bachelor’s degree.
3. Language requirement. For the PhD and Master applicants, the final tutor and department could evaluate your language level according to the interview or written test. HSK certificate (within 2 years) is required for the Chinese-taught program and English certification is required for the English-taught program.
   • HSK 4 180 or above for majors related to Science, Technology, Management and Economics;
   • HSK 5 180 or above for majors related to Humanities and Social Science, Philosophy.
   • Submit a TOEFL or IELTS transcript, in principle, the score must be 80 or higher, and the IELTS score must be 5.5 or higher;
   • Applicants that use English as the language of instruction at the last education background, submit the language certificate issued by the last education institutions instead
   • Applicants from countries where English is the official language are exempt from proof of English language proficiency.

How to Apply for the Dalian University of Technology CSC Scholarship

Interested applicants who would like to apply for this Asia scholarship program, shall submit the application forms and required documents by Email ([email protected]) to the School of International Education in ZIP before the deadline.

Applicants must fill in and provide the following materials truthfully and correctly. You are required to submit the soft documents in a zip file to the email address above. Please name the email subject after ” DUT application number + passport last name + passport name” (example: 20242400023 + JOHN + CHAPMAN )

Step 1: CSC online registration

Create an account on the CSC online application system and choose program Type B. Agent No. of Dalian University of Technology is 10141. Please download the CSC application form after the online submission, print and sign it. Do not forget to take note of the CSC serial number.

Step 2: Dalian University of Technology online registration

Create an account, fill in and submit the application form via the Dalian University of Technology online application system and select the project "Scholarship";

Submit your application documents to [email protected] in ZIP. Please name the email subject after“DUT application number + passport last name + passport name”(example: 20241100001 + JOHN + DOE ). If the application materials are not submitted by email, it will not be accepted.

If applicant applies for two or more scholarships at the same time, you only need to send one copy of the application materials to the official email. Application forms for all types of scholarship programs must be uploaded to the Scholarship Application Form section on the Scholarship system.

Required Documents

1. Notarized highest diploma (notarized photocopy). If applicants are university students or already employed, they shall also provide study certificates or employment documents.
2. Academic transcripts (From the undergraduate program onwards). Academic records from the first to the last semester during the undergraduate, graduate (if any), and the doctoral programs (if any) shall be provided. The transcript shall be issued and sealed by the graduate university’s academic affairs office or student management department.
3. A study plan proposal in Chinese or in English (no less than 1000 words). Please expatiate on the major or research field you would like to study at DUT, and sign by DUT supervisors. Refer to the attachments.
4. Two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English by professors or associate professors from the university which applicants graduated.These letters shall describe the applicant’s objectives of learning in China, comprehensive abilities, and evaluation of future growth. Refer to the attachments.
5. Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form and Blood Test Report (applicants should keep the original one) filled in English.
6. Photocopy of passport photo page and one blank visa page (Ordinary passport expires after September 2025).
7. Language Proficiency certificates. Refer to the Language requirement in the eligibility requirement above.
8. Certificate of No-Criminal Conviction.
9. Applicants who are currently in China must submit a scan of Photocopy of Visa.
10. 1 picture (3cm * 4cm).
